The Bougainvillea is widely grown here, although it is not freeze tolerant. However, it is unlikely that repeated mornings in the 20's will kill a mature plant. We do not prune off any frozen parts of the plant until all chances of freezing temperatures are past. This may not look so nice for a while, but it protects the plant underneath from future cold snaps.
